As it's my favourite team, and a team with a lot of transfer rumours, these are the ones that stand out:
French Midfielder Yohan Cabaye has allegedly told his manager, and teammates, that he will be leaving French champions Lille to play alongside fellow French International Hatem Ben Arfa at St James' Park. Although not official, this already seems a definate as it was confirmed by Lille Manager, Rudi Garcia.
Newcastle are also after Gervinho, but so are several other teams, including Valencia. Gervinho also stated that he wants to play in Europe if he leaves Lille, perhaps ruling a move to the Magpies out. However, fellow Ivory Coastian Cheick Tiote is reportedly trying to convince him to join.
Shane Long of Reading is also on the Toon hitlist, as well as Ipswich's Connor Wickham. The latest rumour is with Celtic star Izaguirre beng considered for a £10million offer.
With £35million to spend, maybe more, could Newcastle build a strong team this summer to do serious damage next season? What are your thoughts on these transfer rumours? Will they be good for the team?
I like Izaguirre. Interesting read and I just had my coffee :)
ReplyDelete35 million? Nice lol
ReplyDeletevery interesting read, i enjoy your blog quite a bit
ReplyDeleteHe better take the £10million offer!
ReplyDeleteIt's possible, they have to play their cards right.
ReplyDeleteCabaye and Gervinho are big names, and would surely help your team.. never heard of Izaguirre though.
ReplyDeletegood luck to him there
ReplyDeleteYa, seriously, luck is needed here! I spilled my morning coffee reading this earlier hahaha
ReplyDeletethese are interseting news...whoare the good players in this roster?
ReplyDeleteI have followed your blog, could you follow my blog too and +1 my blog? Thanks!
Sky Stock Analysis
we'll have to see. :)
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of Newcastele... Of course, I'm not really that big into soccer at all, and the only team I cheer for is Sunderland because they remind me of Sutherland, the name of my old dorm building.
ReplyDeleteWell, transfers usually mean adding someone that you don't really know well enough and might not even get along with to your family. Though you can have the best players, without proper teamwork it'll still just be a bunch of people running around not doing what they're supposed to. But be that as it may, having a new roster might be something worth looking forward to.
ReplyDeletethis is a great blog. I can rely on you to always inform me of the footy
ReplyDeleteAs I'm not really interested in sports, I'm always surpised by the high prices they pay..
ReplyDeletegreat blog. keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteWith Gervinho, Newcastle could get pretty scary, think they should go the extra mile to get him
ReplyDeleteEh, not a big fan of Newcastle...
ReplyDeleteLikewise, not a huge Newcastle fan.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog :)
Bloody hell, those swaths of cash that are being used in football still astound me.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteCool blog. Brazil better win today or I'm gonna be pissed.
ReplyDelete35M sounds like a lot until you look at what the big teams are already spending. Spending doesn't usually hurt but I don' tthink they're going to upgrade themselves far enough to make a huge difference.
ReplyDeletegood luck.
ReplyDeleteFoot balls fun to watch but following all this switches and stuff kinda gets on my nerves. Just like the game :).
ReplyDeleteCool blog and may the best team win.
ReplyDeleteWith 35 million to blow they will have a damn good team.
